Reindeer Art 2024
For the past 2 weeks we have been working on Christmas art. I did my Reindeer black because I wanted mine to be different because not everyone’s had to be the same.

Icy wind slashed at his face and the rain danced its evil dance upon his bearings on the isolated beach.
“What to do?. What to do? Tick tock on the clock tick tick” mumbled in his head. He thought to himself this is a horrible place to be. DONK! “Ow” screamed the boy, “did someone just hit me with a pebble?” “Ow, who keeps hitting me with pebbles,” he moaned. I’ll never get out of this dumb island. It gets so dark and lonely at night. I want to leave but I can’t because I want to know what’s out there. I don’t know how to get out of here. It’s a mess. No food, no bed, no friends, nothing. He was all alone. “I wish I could go home but I kinda don’t because maybe there’s other people out there but I don’t know it,” he mumbled. Mmh he had an idea. I WILL go out to the forest tonight and I’ll find people and I won’t be alone anymore. It will be perfect “OW” ok who? He kept hitting him with pebbles. Then he thought, wait if someone is hitting me with a pebble that means that a person is in the forest trying to be friends with me. He thought but that wasn’t the case. He got a bad feeling that it would be bad so he decided to make a boat out of wood that he found in the forest. When he ran out, he chopped down some trees and made the boat. When the boat was done he got so excited that he started to jump around and celebrate his victory. But on his 5th jump the boat faded into the dark sea. “No, No, NO this is so bad,” he yelled. What to do. What to do. This is too much he thought but as soon as he thought that, POP! A grown woman came out of the bushes. “ I can help you,” she said kindly. No, no you’re the one throwing the rocks at me he thought. He couldn’t say no because he wanted to go home. “Ok, so what do I have to do?” he said. Just stand back. “Ok,” he said. Boom! In less than 1 second she pulled out a big boat. “Thank you,” he said. He went on the boat home.
Play, Make, Create
Today we read a story called If I was a Banana by Alexandra Tylee & Kierah Rynhart
It was about being you.
I chose to make something to help you climb a big tree. I created a human launcher. 
You stand in the shoes, push the button and it launches you into the sky.

Play Make Create
For Play Make Create we read a story called The Legend of rock paper scissors. The story is about Rock Paper and Scissors and how they can not be beaten but then the 3 Legends met together. Will they get beaten? Once we heard the story we wanted to make our own so I made a comic strip of Eraser vs Pen.

Taiamai Rock
On Wednesday Awa Nui and Awa Tuathi went to Taiamai Rock. Once we got there we took a few photos and once we got back we played ki o Rahi and we also made our nature book.
Esymmpoium
For the last two weeks we’ve been doing Esympoium with other schools like Kawakawa, Tautoro, Umawera and our school. They taught us new digital skills. It was very fun doing all them but my favourite was Kawakawa. The Umawera one was hard but also fun.
